The goal of National Ammo Day is to empty the ammunition from the shelves of your local gun store, sporting goods, or hardware store and put that ammunition in the hands of law-abiding citizens. According to the National Ammo Day website, each law-abiding supporter of the right to keep and bear arms is encouraged to buy 100 rounds of their favorite ammunition. Supporters are exhorted to ‘Make your support of the Second Amendment known — by voting with your dollars!’” (11/14/07)

“On April 16, 2007, twenty-seven students and five faculty members at Virginia Tech lost their lives to a madman who possessed one distinct advantage over his victims — He was not concerned with following the rules. Undeterred by Virginia Tech’s status as a ‘gun free zone,’ this mentally unstable individual carried two handguns onto the university campus and indiscriminately opened fire. During the week of October 22-27, 2007, college students throughout America will attend classes wearing empty holsters, in protest of state laws and campus policies that stack the odds in favor of armed killers by disarming law abiding citizens who are licensed to carry concealed handguns virtually everywhere else.” (10/09/07)

“As students, parents and citizens we demand our State Legislatures recognize our right to defend ourselves on college campuses across the nation. School shootings and violence will never be stopped. As individuals and concerned citizens we deserve the right to defend ourselves even when we are on campus. We are licensed by our State Governments to carry handguns to protect ourselves but they tie our hands at school. We are adults who have taken on the responsibility to carry concealed weapons to defend ourselves. We are not criminals. We are not crazy. We are citizens who have proved that we are capable of being responsible carrying weapons in public.” (04/18/07)

Our primary interests are oppressive regimes in Asia, the former Soviet bloc, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East, but we also expect to be of assistance to those in the west who wish to reveal unethical behavior in their own governments and corporations.

“Bob Evans, Cory’s lawyer, writes to say that Cory’s justice fund is now at a zero balance. As I’ve previously written, legal expenses for Cory are no longer a problem. Covington and Burling is footing the bill for his defense. But Cory’s family is rather poor. And he of course can’t support his kids from prison. … So once Covington came on board, Cory used the fund to help his family make the trip from Monticello, Mississippi to Parchman Farm where he’s imprisoned. … If you’re interested in contributing, the information is below. But please do so knowing that you’d be contributing to more of the same sorts of expenses. This is not a legal defense fund. Cory Maye Justice Fund c/o R.E. Evans P.O.
