“Police filed charges Tuesday against the man shot twice by a homeowner while allegedly burglarizing a residence in the town of Pulteney in late August. He is also a suspect in a string of other recent burglaries in the Bath area. … The Pulteney homeowner, Stephen Boyechko — an 80-year-old who fought with the Ukrainian underground against the Germans and Russians during World War II — told The Leader he was napping with his wife the evening of Aug. 20 when he was awakened by the sound of breaking glass and found Peterson crawling through his bathroom window of his isolated rural home. Boyechko grabbed his registered handgun and went to confront the intruder.” (08/31/10) Link: http://tinyurl.com/3a4gunx Filed under: 2AM News and RRND News | Report Bad Link Bookmark this post in Furl or Del.icio.us | |
