“Nigeria’s acting president, Goodluck Jonathan, dissolved the cabinet today more than a month after taking over the highest office in Africa’s most populous country, the information minister said. ‘The acting president gives no reason for the dissolution,’ Dora Akunyili said. ‘There is no vacuum in the government as permanent secretaries will take charge.’ She said Jonathan would issue a statement soon on who will serve in the cabinet.” (03/17/10)
