“Police say a man tried to break into a home in the 4000 block of Haverstraw Drive around 4 p.m. this afternoon. When the residents wouldn’t let him in, police say he went to the back of the home and broke a window. A fight ensued with the residents, who then shot the suspect twice. He was transported to Bethesda North where he is listed in stable condition.” (02/28/10)
