“This week’s landmark ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court that allows unlimited corporate spending in political campaigns is sure to alter the political landscape for candidates running in federal elections. But what impact the court’s 5-4 decision might have on state and local races remains an open question. Rep. Glen Casada, the chairman of the House Republican Caucus, said Friday that he is preparing a request for a ruling on the matter from the Tennessee attorney general.
