“It’s in a much different category than zoos, aquariums and rug dealers. But the latest addition to the wish list for federal economic stimulus is a big one, coming from states trying to keep their schools from cutting back due to tightening budgets. Governors of five states on Friday put $250 billion in school funding into their $1 trillion request for federal aid.
