“If I had a nickel for every time someone described the government’s bailout of the financial industry with that adjective, I could have bailed out Wall Street myself. Tragically, parts of the bill Congress passed earlier this month weren’t unprecedented. In fact, they constitute a pattern for the Bush administration. Even more tragically, many of these sections showed all the staying power of an incumbent politician as Congress and the White House maneuvered, deleting this and amending that among 451 pages few of the voting congressmen could possibly have read.” (10/15/08) Link: http://www.fee.org/in_brief/default.asp?id=2405 Filed under: RRND Commentary | Report Bad Link Bookmark this post in Furl or Del.icio.us | |
