“Third-party candidates could decide this year’s presidential election as the race boils down to key swing states with razor-thin margins. Both Ralph Nader, the independent candidate, and Bob Barr, the Libertarian candidate, are on a majority of state ballots this year. Political experts say they could siphon enough support from the two major-party candidates to flip the election. All it would take is a few percentage points in a few key states. … Although third parties typically are seen as more of a threat to Democrats, this year they are shaping up to be a bigger problem for the Republican ticket.” [editor’s note: Which might be the only good news for libertarians, since for most of us the [only slightly IMO, YMMV] greater evil is continuing the GOP neocon statist quo - SAT] (10/12/08) Link: http://tinyurl.com/46nee8 Filed under: CANDi News and PND News and RRND News | Report Bad Link Bookmark this post in Furl or Del.icio.us | |
