“While America awaits the decision from the Supreme Court of the United States about whether Washington, D.C.’s handgun ban violates the Second Amendment, we’ll take advantage of the legal cease-fire to have a closer look at this landmark case. By the time the Supreme Court heard District of Columbia v. Heller on March 18, the case had been in the works for six years.
