“A man trying to break into a Lexington home early Tuesday died from injuries after a resident shot the man through the front door, Lexington police said. … The resident, who has not been identified, told police that he was home with his girlfriend and brother when he heard someone trying to kick in the front door. Armed with a handgun, the resident shot through the front door, striking the man once in his upper body, Curtsinger said.
