“Democratic officials are dusting off something they never thought they would have to consult: convention rule books. That’s because there is a real possibility that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton will arrive in Denver in late August for the convention roughly tied in their number of delegates elected by primary and caucus voters. If so, then the party’s so-called ’super-delegates’ move front and center — i.e. Democratic governors, members of Congress and other notables, who make up about one-fifth of the total delegate pool and who are free under current rules to commit themselves to any candidate they choose.” (02/06/08) Link: http://tinyurl.com/yoy6vc Filed under: RRND Commentary | Report Bad Link Bookmark this post in Furl or Del.icio.us | |
