A year ago this coming Tuesday, the Democratic Party won control of both houses of the US Congress. Granted, that control was not, strictly speaking, exercised until January 1st, but the rhetoric started immediately. Remember how the war on Iraq was going to end, corruption was going to be swept out by a clean new Democratic broom, etc.? Has anything changed? If so, what is it and has it been for better or worse?
